My recent swype card had funds stolen due to fraudulent activity that swype admitted was on their end yet they denied a refund. AML scammed by SwapGate via Trocador, same BTC wallet passes other AML tests before and after this tx. Trocador claims any tx they profit from is "guaranteed" but of course they immediately threw their hands in the air telling me to go cry to SwapGate.

I've used it both for swaps that I needed to be private and ones that were simply for the sake of bridging and swapping with ease, and to be frank I can't say I've ever found a better service. I don't know if it aggregates the lowest fees or what, but I somehow managed to pay just the minimum Cardano fee for a swap to XMR! 10/10.

Bought an amazon giftcard. Was flagged as soon as I tried to use it for KYC. Attempted to go through amazons process for KYC and they denied it. Will not refund the card. Bad experience.
This is an on-going case. The user bought an Amazon gift card and successfully redeemed it (Aug 4th) to a new account he had just created, they managed to purchase goods on the website that day. Later on they tried adding another card, a prepaid card this time, and his account got locked, probably due to the combination of new account + gift card + crypto prepaid card, and possibly incompatible information between the three, plus different IPs, VPNs, etc. It was not the gift card that got him to be verified on Amazon.

About this case, the user left a 1 star rating before even getting in touch with us, while his funds triggered an AML filter on the partner exchange. After getting in touch with our support, it took 18 hours for his case to be fully solved. He complained about being refunded less, while he received the same amount of LTC he deposited. What he is complaining about is his Litecoin having decreased in Fiat price from when he sent to when he was refunded, which is market variation. He was never asked for KYC, nor had to conduct it. He only had to verify sending/receiving address, and he was clearly informed that the purpose of it was to verify the ownership of the funds, because the exchange did not support the LTC address type he deposited, so the refund had to be on another address format.
Update: I finally got my funds back after more than a day, but the amount was less due to rate losses. The claim of “Guaranteed no KYC +25 points” is misleading and false. My exchange got stuck and they asked me to verify and sign my LTC and XMR wallets. Be careful when using them and don’t fall for false claims here.

Hi, we clearly state that the KYC level depends on partners. Depending on the partner you choose, the risk of AML requirements will be higher. Trocador has a A/B/C rating system to show which of their partners are less risky in that sense.

The professionalism is what impresses the most. I've used them numerous times and have had a few issues with the exchanges that were always resolved in no time flat by trocador support. Never had a problem with being required to provide KYC, never had to make use of the trocador guarantee to refund confiscated funds, success rate with transfers has always been 100%. When I need to do a quick transfer I will use trocador.
Important notes:
- Trocador is not vouching for FF.
- FixedFloat's AML block rate when used with Trocador is less than 0.01%, which is less than I expected.
- There was no mention about the outlandish KYC requirements of FF and basically asking for more and more documents, because of the no-vouching thing, but this is something users wouldn't be comfortable with. How many of those manual cases are actually solved by FF? Well FF's not going to tell us for obvious reasons, so people are going to guess.
- However, they did say that they don't see evidence of scamming. But like I said above, FF's risk control department or whatever it's called makes users feel the opposite.
- They don't really know why FF is co-mingling coins together, but said that it basically cleans the AML score. I can't really agree with this because FF would still have an obligation to not process those coins based on local laws, regardless of whether or not it wants to clean them. This is why other swap services opt to return your coins if they fail the AML check. Considering that all crypto addresses' AML scores are determined by a handful of blockchain analysis companies, it doesn't surprise me so much that they would mark it as clean, but it does raise the question of how much taint can it receive before they downgrade its AML score. They can basically change anyone's AML score at a whim (and of course the board members' own services get near perfect AML ratings, innit)

Hi, I’m vzroslieigry. i just found this page and wanted to share my bad exp. My funds blocked because I didn’t complete the KYC verification. I even made a warning thread on Bitcointalk about it. I tried reaching out trocador on Telegram but never got a response, so I gave up. The problem started when i used this scammy aggregator called Trocador.i made the mistake of trusting their site, and now my funds are gone. I do have an order ID if need it.

I never had their aggregation and ghift card. Even I sent dirty money (well, it was from exch not by fraud) but no issue. Quality veeeery depends on partner so be careful as always.
Good aggregator service. I have been using it to find the best fees lately. Also like that it wraps APIs for more private swaps without leaving trocador. Only downside is shotgun KYC with most partners. Don't send dirty coins or you'll (probably) get rekt.

In my view, OrangeFren and Trocador are essentially the same: they both advertise questionable platforms and allow users to be scammed. I strongly oppose their practices. Could you list exchanges that pay a listing fee, yet are selective scammers... those that only sometimes scam users.
I'm sorry you feel that way, but we certainly don't take money to list partners. We require our partners to complete a full business verification before listing them, plus we conduct an investigation on their practices and if they are listed in other services, such as other aggregators, and for how long. After that we rate them accordingly, so users are informed before selecting their exchange. Recently added partners also have limits in swap amount, so that if any issue happens we can use our Trocador guarantee.
I cannot give it a full five-star rating due to concerns related to its trading partners. There have been scam reports on Bitcointalk, where users claimed that after using Trocador, their funds were frozen by some of the partner exchanges involved in the transactions.

Trocador is a trustworthy site. I have used their gift card and swapping services tens of times without issues. However I can not give it full five stars because in my opinion they should be more transparent on issues with trading partners. For example it would be much easier for a customer to choose a trustworthy trading partner if they showed a percentage number for how often that trading partner has frozen a swap. Extra warnings should be in place for trading partners who refuse to refund until KYC is provided.

The answer to your question is that we don't show the chance of KYC for each provider because all of them have only a tiny percentage of swaps that are halted for verification, lesser than 0.1%. The risk is higher if the funds are tainted, of course. That's why we ask users to avoid sending tainted funds.
Lost 5k while using the site, trocador guarante is a lie tldr
Added context: The funds were not blocked by Trocador, but by one of their partners FixedFloat. The user provided a link to a BitcoinTalk thread providing more context about the issue.
To clarify to the community, this case is still pending a resolution. The user did a very reckless thing: they bought in-person P2P Bitcoin without caring for its origin, then proceeded to swap it at FixedFloat, which is rated C on our service. The BTC they had received was being tracked, so FixedFloat was forced to halt the swap. The user's deposit can be refunded by FF, but because of the problematic nature of the funds and FixedFloat's compliance requirements they need the user to complete KYC. The user began the process but abandoned it halfway. FixedFloat is actually waiting for the user.
It is our understanding that the customer in this case might have been a victim as well, unwittingly receiving tainted coins. This is why we always recommend being extra careful about the history of coins you're receiving.
We provided all the assistance during a difficult situation, but it was ultimately their choice to abandon the process of verification. If they change their mind, our team remains available to guide them through the process to recover the funds.
I would never use FixedFloat for any transactions.They have been hacked multiple times in the past, and there have been claims where customer funds were seized many times.

I had a negative experience with their service. The exchange rate displayed was different from the final amount I received, resulting in a small fee loss. Who is actually charging this fee, and why isn’t the fee structure transparent? Why do these discrepancies in fees exist?
