Terms of Service Review

StealthEX is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange aggregator that offers registration-free swaps by routing orders through third-party liquidity providers. It enforces automated risk-based KYC.

Conditional Refunds

If a user refuses KYC on a flagged transaction, StealthEX will usually refund the asset. However, if the transaction is flagged as "high-risk" or suspected of illegality, KYC is mandatory for a refund.

Comprehensive Metadata Logging

The privacy policy notes that StealthEX collects metadata including IP addresses, operating systems, browser types, and website navigation paths.

Class Action Waiver

The Terms of Use mandate that any disputes must be resolved through confidential, individual binding arbitration, waiving the right to participate in a class action.

Third-Party Liquidity

StealthEX routes trades through multiple major cryptocurrency exchanges. The fees, processing times, and specific KYC document requirements may depend on the upstream liquidity provider used.

AI Summary

Updated

Users report mixed experiences with the service. Many praise the fast swaps, no signup requirement, and the ability to process high limits without issues. Customer support is also noted as being quick. However, a major concern involves retroactive KYC policies. If a transaction fails or times out, users face refund issues and may be required to provide video verification to reclaim their money. Some users consider this practice a KYC trap.

The seize funds the following way: a conversion times out. They say "we can return the funds to the address from which it came". But that address is gone, so the funds can only be received on a different address. At this point they say "Sure, we'll just need to verify you with a video".

To be fair: (1) their support is quick and (2) i ignored the "recovery address" option during conversion.

It is still not fair that they don't ask for video when they receive money, but do demand a video when they have to return it. Imagine if a store wouldn't refund you if your credit card expired.

Hi,

I am sorry you had this experience. However, I want to point out that this listing has flags warning users about these exact policies:

  • Refunds may require KYC
  • Transaction monitoring

Because these tags are present, the service provider is acting within their stated terms. Were you able to get the refund? Or did you refuse to pass the verification process?

marketable_abolitionist_5678

I refused to send them the video and wrote off my money. If they want to KYC me, they should do it before taking my money. I hope you can see how this is a trap, even if everyone is doing it this days. I did not check this entry at KYCnot.me before using their "service". To clarify, this is my personal experience, it is not wonderful, yet I am not agitating anyone for or against using their service.

I've had only good experiences with StealthEX. I've used it maybe 7 times through 2024 and 2025. Amounts up to around 50K$ in a single transaction. No KYC. No problems. Usually I've done XMR -> USDT or similar directional trades.
