Haters gonna hate. This coordinated attack will bring Kyun's rating down, but Kyun as a service will never die. Some bad reviews here are valid, some are just copy pasting stuff no one cares about. To anyone looking for a server host, read our Before You Buy doc, and verify for yourself all claims made in these duplicate reviews.

The dashboard works fine on any reasonable modern computer or browser. I encourage all users reading this review to go and test Kyun themselves. It is necessary to be able to change the rules to keep services running. We also gave 8 days notice which is plenty enough for a change that only affects 2% of customers, while improving service quality for the 98% majority, (see thread): https://x.com/kyunhost/status/2050984293954891965 The data loss was an isolated event that occurred early on when Kyun was new. It was a hardware failure, and our policies have been adapted such that this is no longer a risk. As always, I encourage all users looking to host with us to read the Before You Buy doc, which you are forced to acknowledge before depositing funds for the first time anyway.

LLMs were (in my opinion) not good enough to be used to do what is now called vibecoding. Nap knows how to dev, but I won't bother arguing about this anymore anyway, no one cares. The user isn't expected to use middle click to scroll on the home page, it intentionally captures your scroll. Just go straight to /dashboard if you dislike it. The site works fine, if your example of broken is this, then no on is going to take you seriously. Yes there were some issues related to the migrations and maintenance, but they should be resolved now. If you expect an AWS or DO quality website or level of pricing, use them. They have the devs and resources to ensure their sites rarely have bugs. Prices were increased. So what? If you think you don't get enough quality for the money you pay, don't use Kyun. We already "admitted" about the support chat not showing times. You made a suggestion which I thanked you for, and believe it or not, I forwarded that to Naphtha. What's your deal? It's clearly you posting all these reviews. Also we don't add context, the admins of kycnotme do.

This was specifically raised by me in testing when that was added, but it was decided it would be kept. It's not there unintentionally.

Thanks for the feedback on support messages showing time, we're always looking for advice on how to improve. We always do our best to respond to all users, if we somehow missed your chat which I doubt, please just try again, we'll answer. Not sure what we've said that's immature though... Kyun was created before vibecoding existed. It has been outlined in the faq: https://kyun.sh/docs/faqs/danbo for over ten months (see Git history) that "Your service’s monthly price will stay the same, unless you change its specs or add IPv4 addresses."

I suggested the server being off as a possible reason, and without further details, I can't tell what the actual cause was. Please send us a message using the livechat on our website, and I'll be happy to investigate further, but without more info about what you mean by "whole OS died", it's difficult for me to accurately diagnose this issue and help further.

Hello, apt corrupting is out of our control, and, as an unmanaged service, your responsibility to fix. The OS showing as not installed is likely due to Kyun being unable to detect the installed OS, as we use qemu guest agent for that. This could be for a variety of reasons, one possible reason being that the server was powered off for an extended period of time, so Kyun was unable to detect the OS.

There is no good reason to force the user to do a trade through the admins. If the user wants to, they can choose to use an admin (eg Aillia) as the mediator for the escrow. But stop blaming the platform, you're at fault for not using escrow. You say this yourself: "never conduct transactions on this platform without escrow". And the "separate site" is the forum, with a thread for reporting scammers, which is reasonable. Scammers will always exist, just use common sense and escrow and it's difficult to go wrong.

In other words, if you are cheated by user ‘A’, the site's support service will not help you. You will write a report about fraudster “A”, he will change his profile (IP, new account, etc.) to ‘B’ and continue to cheat other decent users! When I suggested that all transactions be conducted through the administrators, as was the case on OpenMonero (when the old version was working), the administrator refused.

That error just means that qemu guest agent wasn't installed within 5 minutes, and doesn't always mean the VM could not connect. You can still boot up your danbo and use it, as qemu guest agent is non essential and can be manually installed later if you wish. Deleting an IP gives you a partial refund based on the time left before Danbo renewal, and adding one charges you in the same way, so at most you lose a literal cent from your balance, which we are always happy to credit back to you.
