Processor fund freezes
Payments flagged for AML risk may be delayed, held, or rejected by the payment processor. The Terms state you are not entitled to a refund if the third party freezes your funds before they reach SMSPool.
Prohibited use cases
The platform explicitly prohibits using its numbers to verify any identity verification services, cryptocurrency platforms, banks, payment processors, or government portals.
Data sharing policies
The service and its payment processors will report fraudulent activity, suspicious activity, or transactions flagged for AML concerns to authorities and law enforcement intelligence units.
Sanctioned jurisdictions list
The service strictly prohibits users from Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Belarus, and occupied territories of Ukraine.

Verification Steps
- PassedSMSPool Google Account Verification Test
A US number failed, but after auto-refund we retried with an Estonia number, received the SMS code, and verified the Google account successfully.
We tested SMSPool by trying to create a Google Account.
- We first ordered a US number, but Google rejected it for verification. SMSPool order | Google Rejection
- We then tried to refund the number, but the refund button did not work. After the number expired, the refund was issued automatically. Refund attempt | Refund error | Auto-refund
- We tested again with an Estonia number. Second attempt
- This time, Google accepted the number. Accepted by Google
- We received the SMS code and verified the account successfully. Code received | Code entered | Verified account
Verdict: Rejections are expected with pooled numbers, but the service worked after trying a different number. SMSPool worked fine in our test.
- PassedClaude Code SMS test
On March 3rd, we tested a ClaudeCode activation code. It worked fine, we had no issues.
Comments
The SMS code might be rejected or fail to arrive, but I was able to resolve those issues. In my experience, these problems don't happen often, and they depend on the service. Although I haven't tested SMS receipts with many services, I can say that SMSPool is reliable and legitimate. Its interface and pricing are better than those of some competitors. I think the current number of negative reviews on this site doesn't reflect reality. Overall, I conclude that SMSPool is a good service.
I order a refundable temporary number for Telegram which is supposed to be highest success rate and it did not work, so i pressed refund and it says it cant be refunded anymore, so i press open a support ticket and it just takes me to the home page, do not use this, its a scam.
Hi,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. A few things worth clarifying:
Numbers can occasionally fail on the first attempt - the fix is usually as simple as trying a different number. We also have a guide specifically for Telegram that covers the full process and troubleshooting tips: https://www.smspool.net/article/how-to-create-a-telegram-account
On the refund: if the SMS was never received and the refund is still being blocked, that's a bug and something we'd want to fix. If the code was received but didn't work for verification, the refund being declined would be expected behaviour.
Either way, reach out at help.smspool.net or support@smspool.net and we'll get it sorted.
Best Regards, SMSPool
I just personally tested the service again, and it worked fine for me. In my test, one number was rejected, but after trying a different number I was able to receive the SMS and complete verification successfully.
It may be an issue with that specific number or service route rather than the platform as a whole. Could you try contacting them at support@smspool.net and report back on how they respond? That would help clarify whether this was a one-off issue or a broader support problem.
Doesn't work with most services even if you chose ((OTHER)) you will wait for SMS and not receive it, and in their notifications they said that they will share Whatsapp content with authorities. So i don't recommend this service.
We apologize for the late reply.
First, we want to clarify that we have never sent out any notifications stating that we share WhatsApp content. Like all companies, we are required to comply with the law, but we absolutely do not share any information unless we are legally obligated to do so.
Regarding the "Other" or "Not Listed" service option, this will not work if the service you are trying to use is already listed elsewhere on our site. Please also note that financial services, government websites, and telecom providers are not supported and will not work with the "Not Listed" option.
If you require assistance with receiving an SMS for a service that is genuinely not listed, please contact our support team at help.smspool.net and we will be happy to help you.
didn't use it for anything too regulated, but the sms worked for me. paid in xmr without a problem.
I paid with Monero and it worked for Discord
God bless smspool
Doesn't work for any crypto service, tried with crypto.com and coinbase and I received 0 sms, I made sure to use good proxies and everything
Now if you want a number for whatsapp, you have to put information and email and explain why you need it , becouse is whitelisted , this is a big redflag in trust and privacy in my opinion. It s sad but This service is not so trusty anymore.
Hi,
I understand your concern, unfortunately we were backed into a corner by our main supplier.
Due to high abuse rates, they threatened to shut down our access to numbers completely unless we implemented mandatory ID checks. We refused to subject our users to that.
The WhatsApp only service application was the compromise we fought for. It allows us to satisfy their security requirements without implementing the intrusive ID verification they originally demanded. We handle this process entirely in-house specifically to ensure your data stays with us and is never handed over to third parties.
It was a choice between this system or the service ceasing to exist as we have already been through several suppliers.

Hi,
IÂ completely understand your skepticism. Trust is everything in this space, and adding barriers is the last thing we wanted to do.
However, the abuse on the platform went beyond just "bad actors." It became so severe that providers actually shut down most of our number supply. We were rapidly reaching a point where we would have zero WhatsApp numbers left to offer legitimate users because the carriers refused to work with us without these checks.
We had to make a difficult choice: let the service die completely due to lack of supply, or implement a whitelist to secure the inventory.
We chose to keep the service alive, but we compromised by keeping the process 100% in-house. We do not use third-party identity verification services, and your data never leaves our internal systems. It was the only way to keep the numbers flowing while protecting user privacy as much as possible.

SMSPool is a privacy lifesaver — one-time numbers and eSIMs with Tor access. Total anonymity, total control. 📱🕵️‍♂️
A site that just works. I'm giving it 3 stars total. Just a minor warning but don't use the numbers for anything permanent. As usually the next phone owner takes all the accounts made using the service. (Assuming it's a commonly known/used service and has password/account recovery via phone number)
Thank you for your review!
We recommend using our long-term or monthly rental phone numbers and enabling two-factor authentication to prevent access to your accounts. This is especially important as mobile carriers sometimes recycle numbers every three to six months.
We’ve added anonymous 🎠sign-ups to SMSPool. No personal info required—just quick and easy access. Give it a try:
SMSPool now accepts Cash payments đź’µ
You can now purchase SMSPool gift cards using cash through ProxyStore.
Used it once with Claude AI number verification process and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for not requiring an email at registration.
One improvement that would be interesting: instead of requiring a user and password, why not only generating a unique random account number per customer? Like kycnot.me or Mullvad are doing. You can then rate limit the connections. That would be a very welcome change :)
Smspool.net worked perfectly for google account sms verification over Tor. only cost like 30 cents. put money in through monero quickly for less than 1 cent fee. Unfortunately every new google login seems to require a phone number so maybe get a permanent one. Maybe I can verify a temp number as permanent for google and if I set up a 2fa method it wont ask for that number again. Onion site is fast as well

I tried using "smspool.net" to get numbers for Telegram and Google Voice verification, but I can’t recommend it, especially for Google Voice. Out of ~20 attempts to get verification codes for Google Voice, I only received codes 7 times. Most of those were rejected by Google with the error “This phone number can’t be used to sign up for a Google Voice number,” or the number just got linked to my account without being usable as a Google Voice number.
I reached out to Google Support, and they explained that the numbers are likely VOIP or have been used for too many accounts, which Google now blocks.
For context, I followed best practices: used a trusted browser (Brave in Incognito), premium VPNs with US IPs, and 3-month-old Google accounts with no issues. Despite all this, the numbers from smspool consistently failed.
For Telegram, it’s just as bad. Finding a number that isn’t banned or already has 2FA enabled by someone else is nearly impossible. smspool doesn’t filter out these problematic numbers, which just wastes everyone’s time and energy. Don’t burn your time on this like I did. Anyone else get stuck with smspool or know a better way to get this done?
If you contact our support team at help.smspool.net with screenshots of the failed verifications, we'll refund those numbers. We understand how frustrating it is to pay for numbers that don't work, and we want to make it right. The whole SMS verification industry has become much more difficult recently as platforms tighten their security, but we're constantly working on improving our success rates.
Thanks for the detailed feedback about your experience. Let me explain what's happening with these verification issues.
Google Voice has become incredibly difficult to verify over the past year. They use extensive fingerprinting that goes way beyond just checking IP addresses and browser details. When you see that "This phone number can't be used" error, it could be the numbers themselves, but often Google throws this error when they detect something suspicious about the session, even if the number is perfectly fine. It's their way of blocking attempts without giving away what triggered their systems.
The VPN usage is actually hurting your chances here. Google Voice specifically looks for US residential IPs and flags datacenter IPs from VPN providers. Even premium VPNs get detected. You'd have better luck using residential proxies or no proxy at all if you're already in the US. Also, make sure you're using completely fresh browser sessions - new browser profiles, not just incognito mode, as Google tracks browser fingerprints across sessions.
Regarding the numbers themselves, we don't resell numbers on our platform. Once a number is used, it's removed on our end. However, carriers can recycle their numbers eventually, and we have no way to check if a number was previously used on Google or Telegram before we acquired it from the carrier. This is an industry-wide limitation that affects all SMS verification services.
For Telegram, the main issue is usually device fingerprinting rather than the numbers themselves. If you're using desktop or emulators, that's likely why you're seeing "number already used" errors - Telegram blocks these setups. You need a real mobile device with stock firmware, downloaded from the official app store. Even rooted phones or custom ROMs like GrapheneOS get flagged during verification. We've put together a detailed guide at https://www.smspool.net/article/how-to-create-a-telegram-account that covers all the common issues and workarounds.
Thanks for the Lidl verification! 🙏
I think it’s great that they provide an onion site. I wonder if there is any chance of getting I2P supported?
Used it for Signal and Telegram and it worked fine.
Support recommended I use US, UK or Poland for Telegram.
After around 100 numbers I have to call it quits. Couldn't register to Telegram. All numbers from are either already registered with 2-fa or banned from telegram. Not worth your money and pain. I would give this zero star if it were possible.
Hello,
Did you contact us prior to submitting this review? If you attempted 100 different numbers on Telegram none of these were success, then we’re certain the issue may be on your end. We have observed that our other users are currently receiving messages for Telegram, and we receive thousands of orders daily through this platform. Telegram verification has become increasingly difficult as they’re trying to prevent abuse.
For further guidance, please refer to our article: https://www.smspool.net/article/how-to-create-a-telegram-account-6cb1be41e2
Where's the point contacting you? To refund $2-4? Nobody gfa. Just deliver. This was supposed to be anonymous service and I can confirm your numbers are all crap. None of US numbers and most of the European numbers doesn't work for Telegram and if there is 2-FA you charge the message but service stays undelivered. Fix it.

A physical mobile device is necessary for registration on Telegram. GrapheneOS or any custom ROMs will not be compatible with Telegram and may display false messages, as outlined in the guide, indicating that the number is banned or sent a code to another device.
It’s also recommended to download Telegram via the Google Play Store or the App Store if you’re on iOS, as Telegram may flag you if you don’t.
It’s not possible for 100 consecutive numbers to already be used, as we don’t recycle numbers.
UI is nice, pricing is alright, numbers are reused of course. solid service
Thank you for your review however we do not reuse numbers.
“Do you sell numbers twice for the same service?”
No, we never sell the number twice for the same service. Nor do we rotate them after a time; we update our phone numbers daily and there's a chance that the carrier recycled the phone number after 6 months; which we have no control over. In this case you're always free to open a ticket to refund the phone number”
Hey, I'm sorry if I was wrong about it, I tested a few numbers for Telegram sign up, it didn't send code via SMS but via app, so I assumed someone already used it to sign up. It worked after 4-5 numbers though when I tried US virtual num. Might be a country thing? idk anyway I like your service and thank you for supporting Monero payments
Hi there,
Thank you so much for your message and for sharing your experience. Sometimes, reused numbers can happen because mobile carriers recycle numbers after about six months, but our system is set up so that we can’t reuse numbers for the same service. For example, if someone has purchased a number for Telegram, that number won’t be available for Telegram again—though someone could use that same number for a different service like Signal.
It’s interesting that things started working after you switched to US Virtual numbers. Those are semi-VoIP, while our standard US numbers are non-VoIP, which usually work better for most services (including Telegram), so it’s a bit strange that the semi-VoIP numbers worked right away. Telegram has tightened up their registration process lately, so sometimes issues can pop up for all sorts of reasons, including device or IP fingerprinting.
If anyone reading this ever gets the “code has been sent to another device” message, it usually means Telegram has flagged your setup. In that case, try registering on a physical mobile device with official firmware, and make sure to use one of our non-VoIP numbers. Also, it’s best to download Telegram directly from the official app store—Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iPhone—instead of installing Telegram via a .apk or .ipa file, as that can sometimes make a difference.
We really appreciate your support and are glad you like the Monero payment option! If you have any other questions or run into issues, feel free to reach out.

I used SMSPool for an SMS verification for a Google account and it worked fine. But my account was blocked not even a day after I opened it :(
I wanted to reactivate my Google account with a new number and topped up my credits. I went to numbers for Google/GMAIL when ordering and tried countless numbers there, from cheap to expensive. Unfortunately, Google almost always says that the number has been used too often for verification. I can't get any further. In retrospect, this leaves a bad impression.
Hello,
This is a fingerprint issue, we have dealt with this exact issue before.
Please try using a fresh browser session and an IP address that matches the phone numbers country.
- SMSPool Team
I would like to give an update on my case. I opened a ticket and asked for help. My ticket was simply closed by support without comment.
I've only used SMSPool once, so I can't comment on it much. In order to use it, you have to create an account, for which you only need to provide a username and password. It's fairly user-friendly and the SMS arrived quickly.
For additional protection, there is two-factor authentication (2FA), and various cryptocurrencies are accepted as payment.
Was able to create a Google account. First two numbers didn't work, and i got an automated refunda fter some time. The third one did work. If you're getting rejected for verficiation, just try out different countries/numbers, as for my experience, it works.
Thank you for your review!
