An atomic swap is a way for two people to directly exchange cryptocurrencies from different blockchains without needing a middleman like a centralized exchange. It’s called "atomic" because the swap either happens completely or not at all - there’s no partial or failed trade where one side loses out.

I just swapped 0.3 BTC to XMR without any issues. The service works as it should, the transaction took 25 minutes. There are a lot of makers now, and rates vary from 1.5% to 20%. The entry amount is usually around 0.003–0.01 BTC.
Have problems on swapping, still couldn't get one happy path. Shit is slow but service has potential to be really great. I wonder -
those who experienced successfull transactions: could you tell more or less the amount you traded? I'm trying to trade like under 2 mBTC, maybe the issue that many experience is related to that. Maybe makers prioritize some amount over a certain threshold.
update: could get one swap with 20% over market value... So the issue is really related to that.
Gave this one a go, managed to exchange 0.001BTC to XMR, took about 40 minutes. Works for me!
good service, maybe improve U/UX experience and more liquidity
The recent versions have fixed the earlier issues, and the platform has clearly matured a lot. Many swaps now complete in around 30-35 minutes, which is excellent for atomic swaps. Liquidity has improved significantly — 1–2 BTC swaps, and even larger ones, are consistently possible. Tor works properly, and there’s no KYC or custodial risk at any point. A solid and trustworthy option for privacy-focused users. Highly recommended.
I really like the product, however i do feel like it should be really be clearer on how to place to increase the liquidity.
Slow as shit, 11 hour swap and it's not going through have to wait for the refund window. Will not be using this again.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. a lot of time waste with this
Swaps go smooth and are done in an hour if you simply leave eigenwallet running and connected. If for whatever reason the swap fails it will timeout and you will get your bitcoin back. The UX needs improvement but the atomic swap protocol is rock solid. The beauty is there are no middlemen, not even "arbitrators" like in retoswap.
Service feels good, but pretty inactive with the amount of offerings. Used it first a few months ago with the cli tool and more recently with the gui. Takes probably around 1 hour to complete a swap in the happy flow without any user input after starting. Have not experienced the refund procedures so I cannot comment on that.
Not working: after that i installed, i faced with a lot of error.
Maybe try to fix it before leaving a bad review. It works fine for almost everyone. Share some information (your OS and other relevant stuff) so there might be someone that can help you.
Very great service if you want to swap BTC to XMR. Only BTC to XMR. Fast, good prices and reliable.
Tried to swap BTC for XMR. But the maker didn't lock their funds, and now I have to wait 9 fucking hours for this shit to go, and then I have a narrow window for it to be refunded that is ridiculous! People have a life, they have to work and go to sleep. This is bullshit.
I have a hard time understanding that. The maker doesn't need to lock their funds manually. This happens automatically. The refund time can be long. However mind that this is an atomic swap. This is a protocol that works without any provider and both parties are protected.
The service is good because it does not require trust from the user, but also has its disadvantages due to low speed and lack of liquidity, at times I also encountered the inability to complete the swap and it ended with a refund, so 4 stars
it is kinda slow but i succeed to convert btc to xmr, UI/UX is really bad tho..
Tried about 5 times to swap BTC with XMR and each time it failed. I got all my BTC back, but the experience was frustrating and it seems like the product is still in heavy development. Don't remember the cause and it was couple of months ago. Does not bring much trust after this, but I hope devs will fix it, so 5 stars.
Failures with BTC ↔ XMR swaps often come from routing issues — it's hard to match both sides instantly, especially with privacy coins. Even small network lags or confirmation delays can break the flow.
Hi, maintaining a stable internet connection during the swap process is important, as interruptions can cause failures might be.
I've used it many times and has worked however my success rate is around 33% on all time's I have. I have had however my coins refunded 100% every time which is scary but backs trust on their refund system. it's an interesting toy to play with to say at least.
I used it very often too. I have a 100% success rate. Using it since it was UnstoppableSwaps and now I use the Eigenwallet pretty frequently. Could you share more details regarding your issues?
Got a good deal of 2.1% over market value, within a sensible asking range. Though, for me to find that deal I had to constantly check for offers for a whole week. Still pretty good first experience.
