| FixedFloat | When asked about the privacy issues surrounding this, they refused to state where in the world this personal data is stored and whether or not it is encrypted. They also refused to delete any of the data at absolutely any point in the future (even several years later). They also flatly refused to do further checks on a phone or video call, insisting on email alone for everything. Keep in mind that they were already hacked TWO times in the last year - and the hackers seized complete control over all their servers and the data on it. Reluctantly, I still sent them a video as per their demand, but including a watermark with their name and the current date, in hopes of getting them to keep it safe and not share it with (other) criminals. But FF then refused to accept this as being valid because the watermark was unacceptable to them. But after I filed a claim under the Trocador guarantee, suddenly FF changed their mind (yet again) and suddenly accepted the ID and video as valid. Then, they demanded a full bank statement, which of course has no connection to identity whatsoever and is violation of their own ToS. I have now filed complaints with my local police, US FBI's IC3, and with UK's Financial Ombudsmans Service since that is where FF is supposedly based (though they are UNLICENSED and UNREGISTERED). It also appears that FixedFloat is already officially BLACKLISTED in some countries. Stay away from this criminal enterprise, as they will not hesitate to pocket your money and NEVER RETURN IT NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. All under the guise of "anti money laundering" EDIT: See FF's boilerplate response below. They neither deny operating without registration, nor violating their own ToS in keeping my funds frozen after having verified my personal info. | APPROVED | 0 | |
| FixedFloat | On March 19, FixedFloat froze order number ****M5Z (trocador order ****MLHrh) of approximately 0.06 BTC, alleging these funds were associated with criminal activity. Even after providing full SoF + full KYC + mountain of other personal info over the last 7 weeks, they are still keeping my money. First they asked for all sorts of details and were given the full name of the person who the BTC was bought from, their phone number, the exact location and manner in which the tx was completed, the type of wallet that was used, the reason for purchasing BTC, etc. Fixedfloat refused to accept this information, stating the funds would remain with them as the information provided was inadequate. They also denied any possibility to transfer the funds to any government/police for safekeeping and never provided any details on the alleged "criminal activity" they were investigating. After many days of back and forth over several dozen emails, their partner Trocador then reached out to inform that they have managed to convince Fixedfloat to waive their (made up) requirement of a legal paper receipt in our particular case, and that FF have agreed to simply verify identity before returning funds back. I later found that this "special option" is explicitly stated in FF's terms of service. But of course, FF had never offered us any such recourse on their own. FF then said there would be several more steps in the identity verification process but they couldn't say the exact requirements, nor did they ever commit to releasing the funds at the end of the process. Over several dozen more emails, FF first asked for a photo ID, then asked for a high resolution audio and video recording with specific instructions of movements to be made, something specific that had to be said, and asked for the fixedfloat order details to be shown in the video, shown on another electronic device. | APPROVED | 0 |
